About

  • Watertown-Mayer is committed to a lively, strong, and exciting drama program that provides opportunities for actors, musicians, and technicians to develop their talents and perform for the community. Students are able to participate by acting, as well as, lighting design, sound design, stage management, costuming, and set design and construction.

There are two drama productions each year at Watertown-Mayer.

Each November, grades 8 through 12 are invited to participate in a full scale musical. Auditions are held the second week of September and rehearsals are held in the evenings to allow students to participate in both sports and the production.
In April, grades 9 through 12 are encouraged to participate in a two act play. Auditions are held the second week of February with performances in mid April.

In the summer, through Community Education, an original musical for younger students is presented.

For more information, interested students and parents should contact Drama Director Joyce Peterson in regards to the fall musical and the spring play or the Community Education Office about the summer play.
