MSHSL Triple “A” Award Program Royal Nominations 2018-19

Watertown-Mayer School District is proud to announce our nominations for the MSHSL Triple “A” award.  Will Elskamp and Leah Vraspir are seniors and have been selected to represent Watertown-Mayer in the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award Program.
Established in 1988, the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award (Triple “A” Award) is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League.  The award goes to high school seniors who have a “B” or better grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
Will Elskamp is active in band, cross country, and wrestling and track. Leah Vraspir has participated in band, cross country, and track. Both are strong academically and participate in many non-MSHSL activities as well.
Triple “A” Award recipients are selected by a multi-level process involving the League’s member schools and administrative regions.  League officials will announce the four recipients (a girl and a boy from both Class “A” and Class “AA” schools) at an on-court recognition ceremony held on Saturday, March 23, 2019.  Each award recipient will receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.
Additional information about the Triple “A” Award may be obtained by contacting the Minnesota State High School League at 763-560-2262 or by visiting the League’s Website at www.mshsl.org.
